I shot this pano from Dana Villas the morning we left Santorini. This is an exceptionally beautiful place.

More pictures to come. (I shot over 2,400 photos on this trip. It will take a bit of time to process and upload them all.)
About 3,600 years ago the volcanic Island of Santorini (It’s original name meant circular.) exploded. All that remained was three islands: the largest, a tiny piece, and a larger piece. The Aegean Sea filled in the enormous crater left by the eruption. Over the years since the 2 lava domes (Old Burnt Island and New Burnt Island) seen below and in the panorama above have emerged and continue to grow. The area is still seismically active, with a magnitude 5 earthquake earlier this year.
