Today, in the wee hours (Pacific Time), one of my database tables somehow became corrupted. All efforts to repair it failed. My blog was dead. Totally dead!
Thank goodness I have a backup strategy that is automated and followed religiously.
I was able to import my blog from the backup from the night before, a backup that was not corrupted.
Now my blog is back, risen from the dead, as it were.
I just wish I knew what in the world irreparably corrupted the database because importing the backup is a total pain!
Note to self: If this ever happens again, the directions for importing the backup database file is named: Using SSH in Terminal to Import MySQL Database Backup Replacing Corrupt Database.
