Big Bird and Mitt Romney

Oh, Mitt… No! Really?!

Big Bird and Mitt RomneyThis tweet from Neil deGrasse Tyson summarizes how meaningless and out of touch Romney‘s ideas are: “Cutting PBS support (0.012% of budget) to help balance the Federal budget is like deleting text files to make room on your 500Gig hard drive” I personally think it’s more like making room on a 2 terabyte drive, but that’s just me. Neil probably did the math.

Poor Big Bird—outsourced to China? He would be fired by the former head of Bain Capital if he were elected president? He would join the unemployment lines created by 8 years of Republican policies under George Dubyuh?

Killing off Big Bird is endemic to Mitt’s exterminate free thinking, kill off thinkers that invite critical thought and suggest/support the complexity of multiple perspectives. Go ahead, Mitt, tell us who else you want to lay off and outsource to “create more [low wage] jobs!” You got really rich doing that at Bain. Why not get rich doing it to the whole country if you get elected?! And, by the way, where is all of that money you made but paid so little tax on? Off shore accounts to avoid your patriotic duty to pay your fair share in taxes???

Romney has flip flopped on virtually everything he has ever said and done, as he did again in the first debate. He promises so many diametrically opposed things (what ever t.h.i.s particular audience wants to hear) he can not be trusted at all. No one knows what he would really do if elected president, probably not even him. His blind ambition has trumped his trust worthiness and his honor. He sold his soul years ago, and not to the Mormon church. Not sure he ever had a heart!

Don’t be sad, Big Bird. I still love you. America still loves you.

And I love PBS!
