My Weekend Instagrams

What an awesome weekend with nothing to do related to moving!!! Tim Likes! So, off we went exploring the headlands area within just a mile or two of the house. It’s sooo awesome! Hiking trails are everywhere. Miles and miles of gorgeous, never-to-be-developed wilderness!! Unfortunately, my Instagram app somehow lost its connection with Facebook, and I didn’t realize this until… Continue reading

Etta James, 1938 – 2012

I first consciously discovered Etta James‘ music back in the early 1990’s. I was in a music store (Do you remember those?) when her dense sultry tones filled the store and went straight into my soul. In that instant I was smitten and asked the store owner what was playing and immediately bought her CD. She was the blues. Today,… Continue reading

Update on Chloé, Our Nissan Leaf

Chloé, our all electric car, has now topped 1,000 miles. Yep, that’s 1,000 miles without any gasoline. (Put another way, that’s easily over $100 I haven’t given to the evil oil empire.) Driving it here in Sausalito has been an adjustment because this area has some serious hills. (Since I was raised in Florida, I think of them as mountains!)… Continue reading

The Bee’s Knees

I hate having dry, cracked lips, and mine seem to dry out faster than most people’s! So, I’m always buying ChapStick. But I like the ChapStick that’s medicated with menthol or some such stuff–you know, the kind that tingles and soothes when you put it on. Well, I found a new brand that I highly recommend:  Burt’s Bees Lip Balm… Continue reading

Second Glimpse – The Kitchen and Dining Room

Here is a second panorama from the house in Sausalito. This one was shot of the empty kitchen and dining room the day before the movers arrived. Click the image to play, and don’t forget you can take control of where you look in the pano. After everything is finally put in place, I’ll include some panos from around the… Continue reading

First Glimpse

Click the image below to see a pano of the living room area when the Sausalito house was completely empty. I shot this the day before the movers showed up. You can see down the short “hall” into the dining room area with the large aluminum fireplace. The long hall goes to the remainder of the “mid-century classic” house. Right… Continue reading

The Latest Beauty Treatment

I came across this on Twitter. It would be hysterical if it were not true, and I’m just as guilty of this as anyone else. Almost nothing that we see in photography and videography is actually true to life. For better or worse, just about everything is “enhanced.” Fotoshop by Adobé from Jesse Rosten on Vimeo. This commercial isn’t real,… Continue reading

Samsung 3D TV

Time for a break from working with the closet! I went shopping for a new TV. I was shocked at how much the technology has changed in the last 5 years. Long story short, a new 60″ Samsung extremely flat panel TV sits in the living room of the new house. It’s, shockingly, not even an inch thick, I don’t… Continue reading
