Pano: The Santorini Caldera Just After Sunrise

I shot this pano from Dana Villas the morning we left Santorini. This is an exceptionally beautiful place. More pictures to come. (I shot over 2,400 photos on this trip. It will take a bit of time to process and upload them all.) About 3,600 years ago the volcanic Island of Santorini (It’s original name meant circular.) exploded. All that… Continue reading

Downtown Sausalito Weeping Willow Tree

I’m not completely pleased with this pano, but it’s still very interesting: the little planet fly in from the top of the tree, the fog in the bay engulfing San Francisco, the peaceful water… I shot this for HDR, and it’s been impossible to shoot the weeping willow with completely still branches/clusters of leaves. Another Pano from Mount Tamalpais

(I’ll take that compliment though completely undeserved.) Another friend of his thought I was setting up to shoot (kill) some poor living creature (called a pano?). No, no,… Continue reading

Pano: Inside the 3rd Floor of Fort Point

When my sistoid unit was visiting, we went to Fort Point (which is located under the Golden Gate Bridge) three different times. No, it wasn’t that she was that into it. The first time we went the weather was perfect for photos. I just didn’t have my camera. The second time, the fort was completely fogged in, but I shot… Continue reading
