Point Bonita from the North

Sunday Hike: Coastal Trail

I love hiking the Pacific Coast trail! Yesterday was a great hike. The weather was perfect! Over 5 miles and up 49 floors-worth of steps!

While you will probably not be able to see it in the small pictures below, they do show the Golden Gate Bridge in the far left.

Below is the map of our hike. We started in the parking lot and hiked up to Battery Townsley (red). We went into the first battery, came out and walked over (green) to the second battery and back into the earthen battery to the trail (red). From there we walked up to the washed out road (red stops). Then we walked back and up to the other side of the washed out road (yellow). Then we walked back along a paved portion of the trail until it was completely washed away (orange). Then we walked down to the blue area of our hike to the edge of the Pacific Ocean cliffs. Finally, we ended our hike by walking back to the red line to return to the parking lot.
