Sunday was volunteer day at the Point Bonita Lighthouse.
As always: stunning day!
I counted, for certain, 7 different whales, perhaps as many as 12.
They were very active, coming to the surface often.
They were also very close to the lighthouse.
One was particularly huge! In fact, it was the largest whale I’ve ever seen.
Another was a calf.
They were heading north.
One of the volunteers asked a little boy if he had seen the whales. I thought the young child was going to explode with excitement as he began jumping up and down, flopping his hands, completely unable to speak at first.
Another gorgeous day in the headlands.
