Clouds over the Golden Gate Bridge

Between Rains

This holiday weekend was supposed to feature a visit from family, but the weather forecast called for rain; so, they rescheduled. And rain it has.

We got out briefly this afternoon, got rained on a bit, but got a few pictures between raindrops. The smell of the sage and other desert plants was scrumptious! The wind was delightfully vigorous.

By the way, while working as a docent at the Point Bonita Lighthouse last weekend, I was chatting with a local couple about the headlands area. The man said, “You know what people say when they get to heaven if they lived in the Headlands? ‘I’m disappointed!'” This is like no place I’ve ever lived before. Simply stunning rain or shine.

A few of the iPhoneography photos from today’s very short stroll…
